I've noticed that if I order my PCB's on either a 4-day or 8-day turnaround, the finish of the green soldermask is much better than on other turnarounds. The finish is matt, which looks much better than the usual glossy finish.

Why is this and is there any way I can ensure I get the matt finish on other turnarounds too?

in our factory for multilayers and series XXS we use a different soldermask than in our factory for prototypes, the finish looks different. But there is no direct way to ensure which mask should be used, this is only possible for for non - pool orders.
