Entry plates - separators
Can someone tell me how many square meters of PCB are being produced on a year base in Europe and what percentage are produced using the following entry plate material:
- aluminium
- steel
- stainless steel
- LCOA and similar
- cardboard
- melamine
- wood
- others
- none (because of laser drilling)
Is it possible to give a comparison of the advantages and inconvenients of the different materials used ?
What are the trends in using these materials ?
Is it possible to estimate the percentage of PCB surface that is produced using CAC separators ?
Thank you in advance.

Re: Entry plates - separators
Hi Bernard,
Thanks very much for your question here with the PCB-FAQ page.
Unfortunately we are not in a position to answer your question. Private firms and NGO`s (Non Governmental Organisations) collect these data and distribute them to interested parties.
There is an European branch of the IPC and they can be found at:
http://www.eipc.org
So thanks again
All the best
